- The Pharisees saw themselves as the shepherds of Israel. In what ways does Jesus disabuse them of this notion?
- Jesus declares himself to be the gate for the sheep. Why is this significant?
- Then Jesus declares that he is the good shepherd. How does he define a ‘good’ shepherd? In what ways are the Pharisees not ‘good’ shepherds?
- Being referred to as sheep is not necessarily a compliment. In what ways should we embrace our “sheepliness”?
