Questions:

1. James is very focused on how the words we use reflect our hearts. Read through James and count the number of verses that address this issue.
2. Read James 3:13-18.  What part does wisdom play in the words we choose?
3. One of Satan’s tactics is to corrupt the best of God’s good gifts. How does he do this with our words?
4. We often speak without thinking or in response to something that angers us. How can we keep from using words to punish or harm others?
5. James bemoans the fact that with the same ‘tongue’ we praise our God and curse our fellow human beings. How might we avoid this tragic reality?
