Amos 7:8b -- Then the Lord said, "Look, I am setting a plumb line among my people Israel; I will spare them no longer."

Questions:

  1. What is God’s Plumbline?
  2. Do our attitudes to the poor, displaced, and oppressed align with God’s Plumbline?
  3. Do we have a misplaced trust in wealth?  Has it led to complacency?  How would we know?
  4. How can we be sure that our worship hasn’t become all form and no substance?
  5. If Amos were preaching to the Clearbrook MB Church, what might he say to us?
