“With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father., and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not to be.”

Questions
1. God’s people are called to speak the truth at all times. What happens when we don’t follow this command?
2. Why do we have so much difficulty handling the truth?
3. Satan is called the Father of Lies – how does he go about lying to us or tempting us to lie?
4. James is the NT supplement to the 9th commandment. How does James describe a Christian’s responsibility to truth-telling and to our speech in general?
